Works by Bach, Scarlatti, Froberger, Weiss, Dufault, Gaultier and Couperin. Arrangements by Michael Lorimer

This recording represents decades of studying and performing baroque music and its performance practices. In addition it represents my most recent work with the arranger of these works, Michael Lorimer. Through numerous correspondence I got deeper into Lorimer’s vast knowledge of baroque music as we worked through revisions of older arrangements (the Bach Cello Suite) and new, yet unpublished arrangements which are represented here as recording premieres.

Romance for Guitar

Works by Turina, de Falla, Tarrega, Casséus, Puccini and Villa-Lobos

Romance for Guitar  represents my the first loves of the classical guitar repertoire including Tarrega’s “Capricho Arabe” and Villa-Lobos Preludes as well as the Chvatal/Kritzer Duo’s arrangement of Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma” for solo guitar.

The recording was completed after a week of intense work with Michael Lorimer in his Manhattan Studio. The recording is dedicated to Michael Lorimer
