Immerse yourself in a week devoted to intensive classical guitar training.

Monthly workshops held September – May help prepare for our week at CGI. They also help build comradely and friendships.

Whether you’re an auditor or performer you’ll participate in Performance Day (the final day).

All levels are welcome at CGI. As a performer you’ll be required to have at least three pieces memorized.

All members of CGI (performers and auditors) participate in the CGI Ensemble Performance.

Establish a Functional Technique

There is an abundance of technical advice and exercises available to the classical guitarist but few programs enable a beginning to advanced student to a technical foundation, and a set of technical exercises, that will last a lifetime.

Primary Skills Development establishes a bio mechanic approach to all the movement forms that are present in our repertoire.

A Year-Long Schedule

CGI Technique consists of six months of weekly (recorded) online workshops where I’ll personally guide a limited number of students through Primary Skills Development. Then join me for my in person workshop where we’ll I’ll introduce you to, and help initiate, a 12 week Advanced Technique program.
